Grandmaster Chen Xiaowang is the 19th generation lineage holder of Chen-style Taijiquan, the President of the World Chen Xiaowang Taijiquan Association, a representative inheritor of the World Intangible Cultural Heritage project, and holds the prestigious 9th Dan rank in Chinese martial arts. He is one of the most outstanding contemporary masters of Chen-style Taijiquan. Born in 1945 in Chenjiagou, Henan Province, Grandmaster Chen Xiaowang is a direct descendant of Chen Wangting, the founder of Taijiquan. He has not only achieved remarkable success in the field of Taijiquan but has also made significant contributions to the international promotion of Chen-style Taijiquan.

As a 9th Dan master recognized by the Chinese Wushu Association, Grandmaster Chen Xiaowang has received numerous accolades in national and international martial arts competitions, including winning the Taijiquan world championship at the first International Wushu Invitational Tournament in 1985. With his profound Taijiquan skills and personal charisma, Grandmaster Chen has trained tens of thousands of outstanding students and has promoted Chen-style Taijiquan globally, establishing himself as an internationally recognized Taijiquan mentor.
In the fields of martial arts, calligraphy, culture, and traditional Chinese medicine, Grandmaster Chen Xiaowang has held many important leadership positions and played significant roles in Taijiquan organizations both domestically and internationally. His books and instructional videos have been translated into multiple languages and are widely distributed worldwide. He also starred in a Chen-style Taijiquan film produced by China Central Television and directed martial arts films.
- In 1980, became a board member of the Henan Sports Institute and began professionally teaching Taijiquan.
- Won gold medals in the National Taijiquan Competitions for three consecutive years (1980, 1981, and 1982).
- In 1985, represented China at the first International Wushu Invitational Tournament held in Xi’an, where he won the world championship in Taijiquan.
- In 1988, received the "Contribution to Martial Arts Award" from the National Institute of Martial Arts.
- Participated in numerous major competitions and accumulated over twenty Taijiquan championship titles.
- Represented China in sharing martial arts knowledge with people from more than 30 countries, including Japan, the United States, and Singapore.
- His profound skills in Taijiquan allowed him to defeat all martial artists who challenged him.
- Over the years, trained tens of thousands of outstanding Taijiquan students both domestically and internationally.
- Served as Chairman of the Henan Chen-style Taijiquan Association and Chairman of the Henan Wushu Association.
- Served as a representative at the 7th National People’s Congress and as a member of the 7th Henan Provincial CPPCC.
- In October 2012, received the "Chinese Light - Top Ten Outstanding Figures in Promoting Chinese Culture" award, co-hosted by the Ministry of Culture and other national departments.
- In March 2013, appeared as a guest on CCTV’s "World of Chinese" program and received the "Second Chinese Intangible Cultural Heritage Inheritor Transmission Award."
